"You’re being so clingy, it’s weird."
Their face seems to fall at his words, and they tense, unwrapping their arms from him, and retreating to the far end of the couch. Something like a mumbled apology escapes their lips, gaze focused on the ground. They didn't quite understand why he thought it was so weird, but they wouldn't do it if it meant he would leave, if it meant losing someone else.
