"Have you beaten your daily terrorist?"
captainoftheice is my favorite Steve Rogers RPer! There are a lot of amazing Captain America RPers but this particular mun manages to pull off the side of Steve that comes from the comics which I haven't seen many others do. Each thread is a true delight to read and I look forward to reading more!

send me § and my muse will react to yours pushing them against a wall and kissing them.
Another bust, but why was she so surprised? At least neither were really getting their hopes up, and the time between searches was a little more bearable now that they have finally acknowledged the feelings between them. Steve was fast asleep when she had left, and not wanting to disturb him, snuck out of the motel room they were staying at to get a bite to eat.
She had made sure to get him all of his favorites. He deserved it, after all. They've both been through enough. So, when she entered the room key and stepped into the small motel room, a small yelp of surprise escaped her. The bag of warm food fell to the floor, a gasp escaping her. But Emma was quick to give into the kiss, her eyes closing. When they parted, a laugh escaped her, head shaking from side to side.
"Steve, I was only gone for -- what? -- fifteen minutes."
captainoftheice:
Perhaps it was the last thing that should happen, perhaps it was the perfect thing to have happen—he didn’t know. Timing was hardly his strong suit even Peggy Carter could have attested to such a thing; he kissed her before he disappeared for good—horrible timing. But they’d been trying to find leads to Bucky for weeks and came up short. They’d been frustrated, and tired, but no matter what they’d been support for each other. They’d always been that way even as kids, and even now it was like nothing had changed at all and maybe that’s exactly what brought it on. His fingers brushing over skin, mixing into blonde locks of hair as he pulled her in and crushed his lips over her own in a heavy near desperate kiss. This kiss was one that he was sure was long over due and part of him was glad to have found the courage even if the feelings within him were not reciprocated at least he could express his feelings towards her finally. ”That was…..overdue.” He murmured against her mouth as he began to draw back his fingers still gently holding her face in his hands.
Their mission was clear: find James Buchanan Barnes and bring him home. Some missions were harder than others, and this was the hardest of them all. Bucky had a reputation as The Winter Soldier -- he was a Ghost, seen only when he wanted to be. And right now, it was so damn impossible to trace him. But they wouldn't give up, no matter what. They've been together for as long as she could remember, and they were going to go out that way, too. One way or another, they will find him. No matter what.
Sometimes it became too much. Sometimes it gave them the push they needed. Like right now. To be perfectly honest, she had no idea how it ended up like this -- but the next thing she knew, fingers were in her hair and lips were against her own. Something about it felt right. It made her world stop spinning, and for a long moment, she was at peace. When he pulled away, a breathless laugh escaped her at his words. Hand rising to clasp over his, she turned her face to the side, kissing the flesh of his palm.
" Yeah, it really was about damn time. "

11: Collarbone Kiss
The days became weeks, the weeks months. Life had been timeless lately as they searched, desperately, for their friend. Even when their leads went cold, neither of them seemed to be willing to give up. Sometimes, when night came and their search had once more came up empty, they liked to cuddle up on the bed. Steve would hold her, assure her that everything was fine. That they will find him, soon.
Sometimes she believed him. Sometimes he was the one who needed her to be there for him. It seemed to be one of those nights. Her hand splayed across his broad chest, looking up at him. " Can't sleep? " She asked, even though she already knew the answer. Letting out a small sigh, she tucked her chin down, pressing her lips against where they could reach -- the raised edge of his collar - bone.
" Hey, don't worry. We will find him. We're close, I can feel it. "
She had no idea what gave her that thought, but she felt so certain. Something in her gut told her that they were closing in -- and soon, they will have him.
"I'm sorry - have we met before?"
captainoftheice doesn't get enough credit for their blog. I love reading through the things that are written and I always feel like Steve Rogers is speaking when I read the writing. I hope that they never stop writing for Steve!
