You pull up into the driveway, the steep incline infuriating you more than it probably should of. Getting out the car you quickly enter the house, looking forward to not having equations crammed down your throat for at least ten minutes. You could hear Jordan recording something in his office, by listening you figured it was probably a reddit video. Just listening to the faint sounds of commentary calmed you down slightly, even giggling slightly when a silence was followed by a high-pitched ‘whaat?’. While attempting to hide from reality by lying down and burying your face in a couch cushion, your textbook jabs you in the side.
“Fuckssake,” you mumble, taking off your bag, dropping it on the floor, and re-positioning yourself into the corpse position, face-down on the couch. Noise slowly started to escape from your throat, starting as a low rumble until you were just about yelling into the cushion.
“Hey, y/n, you okay there?” Jordan’s voice startled you more than you’d like to admit. “You’ve been groaning against the pillow for a good minute now.”
“I have been staring at brackets and equations for hours, I, as a certified uni student, are legally obliged to scream at least fifteen times a day,” you said, voice muffled by the cushion.
“Ah, bad day, huh,” Jordan walked over and knelt down, “How about we watch a movie? Sloppy romantic comedy so you don’t have to think about it?” you looked up from your pillow and nodded, staring at him, his features, and realising just how tired you were. You sat up and stretched, giving Jordan just enough time to sit down before flopping back down, head landing on the armrest, practically sitting on his lap. You felt him play with your hair as he put the movie on and hummed happily. Once the movie started, he put the remote down and his hand wrapped round you, you snuggled closer, relaxing against him and sighing happily.
