Story Frost
((So in my head, Shadowfrost is Khloe Potts, Pepper's little sister. I have her as Khloe Scantson on tumblr to make it less confusing. This is another drabble that has been playing around my head for a while.... I like constructive critisim....))
"Frost! Look out!" 'He' looked to see the wall fall towards 'him' when a mighty force crashed into 'him.' The wall covered both of them.
"Are you ok?" came the warm tones of Captain America. The wall shifted and Frost heard a pained gasp and felt something sharp slip in between the metal strips in the jacket and pierce 'his' side.
Frost ignored the pain and let the elemental power fill 'him' to make the mark on the helmet light up the area.
'He' wished 'he' hadn't.
Steve was laying on his forearms above 'him,' holding the wall, stopping it from crushing both of them. A thin piece of metal had gone through his abdomen and was resting in Frost's. He smiled faintly when he repeated, "Are you okay, Frost?"
Frost chewed on 'his' lip, mind racing. The villians had knocked out their communications and none of their team was around when the wall fell. 'He' carefully reached up and tapped the mark sending a message to the other elementians, praying that they would get here in time to save Steve. 'He' felt Steve tremble and looked up to see the Captain's eyes droop and a trickle of blood drip from the corner of his mouth.
"Steve?" she gasped and his eyes sparked in confusion at the sound of Frost's voice.
She pulled off the helmet, her mark bright on her forehead.
Steve's eyes widened in recognition, "Khloe?"
She smiled and nodded, ignoring her own trickle of blood at the corner of her mouth.
His trembling got worse and his eyes seemed to dull so she grabbed his face, "Hey Steve, keep those pretty baby blues on me. Help is coming." She kept chattering, talking about the first time she saw the Howling Commandos, how nervous she was when she first approached them, how amused she was when they were developing their own sign language, and everything else under the sun, praying for help to hurry.
After what felt like hours the started to shift and Frost, still holding Steve's face, yelled, "Jordan!" She knew that the Elementa would hear her, "We're going to need Angel and Dove!"
The shifting paused then seemed to move more urgently.
Both Frost and Steve screamed when a rock bumped the metal sticking out of them and Steve slumped onto Frost, strength gone.
"Dove, can you get them out?" questioned a female voice.
"I got them," was the soft reply.
A light as soft as the voice lifted them but the metal shifted and Frost blacked out.

The beeping. The beeping was the only way she knew she was still alive. The beeping and the pain.
She doesn't remember but she knows the scientists did something. She wasn't supposed to be here. She didn't remember her own name.
The walls closed in, the pain grew, and the beeping got to loud to bear.
"Khloe, Khloe honey wake up."
Who was that?
"Come on Ice Queen, wake up."
Who are these people?
"Frost, it's time to wake up."
Steve?

Khloe's eyes snapped open and she looked around the wildly. Unfamiliar room; looks like hospital, not the compound. Person, female, overhead; Pepper, worried. Person, male, off to right; Tony, friend. Person, male, in bed five feet to left; Steve, injured. Needle in arm, connected to bag, explains fuzziness. Demonic energy: none. Threat level: low.
"..odness. You are in so much trouble young miss! You're Shadowfrost? Why didn't you tell me? Or any of us?" Pepper rambled on not noticing that Khloe was hardly listening.
"I think she's had enough rants at the moment, Pep," Tony piped up. "She's awake, but you need to sleep." He gently guided the worried Pepper out of the room.
The doctors came in and removed the breathing aperatuse and told her that the metal missed major organs but she was going to have to stay at the hospital for a week and no crimefighting for a month maybe more. Then she was left alone with Steve.
There was long pause, then Steve cleared his throat, "They put together for better securtity. They have a curtain here if you want privacy."
She played with the edge of her blanket not looking at him, "That wasn't how I wanted to tell you. I actually was going to tell you tomorrow on our dance date. I understand if you don't want to go on the dates anymore."
"Why wouldn't I? We'd be stuck in here but I'm sure we could find something to do."
Khloe laughs then winces in pain, "So instead of a dance date, we're having a hospital date? Sad."
"Hey, a date's a date and I'm glad neither of us is missing this one."
