Hi, anon!! Thank you so, so much! Come Alive has a special place in my heart, and it makes me beyond ecstatic whenever I learn someone else has enjoyed it too.
Regarding your question: I have heard about the Big Bang, yes! At one point? Sometime? I can’t quite say when or where. I must admit I have not looked into it in much detail. Big Bangs have always intimidated me, though I also don’t know much about how they work. To be fair, that mentality may have originated back when I was really into the Merlin fandom (circa 2011–2014?). It felt like Big Bangs were happening all the time in that fandom, but back then, I was also in the midst of powering through my undergrad pre-reqs to get into pharmacy school. Committing to anything with a word count goal or a time restraint was downright impossible for me then, and even now, 2 years out of school, it’s hard for me to break the habit of automatically rejecting the idea of trying.
All that being said, I thank you for this ask, actually, because you’ve made me think about my growth as a writer and a lot of other things that are making me sentimental and proud in equal measure. Will I do the Big Bang? I don’t know yet. Tbh, it may not work out this year because of my goals regarding a certain ongoing 6-year-old Danny Phantom WIP of mine, BUT you’ve reminded me I can at least look into it, give it thorough consideration, and maybe even try. 😊
