The flag’s proportion is 1:2. Red represents socialism and the revolutionary spirit of the (Captiotian) people. The rightward pointing yellow triangle represents optimism, prosperity, the constant progress of society, and cheese, an iconic cultural food of Captiotia. The red star is a common symbol for revolutionary socialism. Its position within the triangle signifies that the revolution drives progress. The white and red bars represent the result of socialist progress: peace and a bright, clear future for all guided by socialism’s principles.

i’ve been thinking a lot about the political system for captiotia, my thoughts so far are a 3-branch (at least) main socialist democratic system somehow divided “checks and balances” style or w/e between

worker’s councils, maybe syndicalist-esque though i need to research that more, starting at the base local level and working up to national level to represent the workers and the interests of labor

elected, more “professional”-oriented representatives skewed towards integrity, loyalty or long-term political expertise, kinda ML-style, regarding the ruling communist party (this is NOT the only party) and representing interests of the proletarian state

a direct democracy, the “National Forum”, participatory/deliberative democracy in some form. probably utilizing and emphasizing both in-person public meetings and usage of the internet and other tech, emphasizing the collective voice of the people and utilizing a limited level of representatives to 1) coordinate public discussion and 2) represent the masses to the rest of the world; the Head of State would be the Speaker of the Captiotian National Forum

Also there would be the system of the ruling Communist Party of Captiotia, aka Sigma Party (enshrined by law and public cultural pressure to be a summation of public interests and advanced, Captiotia-specific ML political theory) existing alongside a variety of non-dominant parties representing a very wide range of political interests, at least center-left, never opposed to the sovereignty of the captiotian people and socialism of course. the idea is most politically-active citizens are actually involved in multiple parties and like encouraged to resist the central authority and have a voice for every injustice they could face. i’m still thinking of the specifics of each party, and how focused each party would be (like how many issues are the MOST important to them).. i’ve thought of a few so far, but there’d probably be more. I’ve got

communist party of captiotia (sigma party) - ML central planning autarky shit

eco-syndicalist party (red greens) - council communism, environmentalists, decentralization

popular science party (popsci) - STEM, secularism, productive forces nerds

radical progressive party (progressives) - social justice warriors, internationalists, direct democracy, humanists i suppose

national republican party (republicans) - nationalism, representative democracy, federalism... market socialism

social conservative party (conservatives) - social democracy, traditionalism, spiritualism. bleh imo but it’s okay

i could def split those ideas up differently and i will, that’s where i am now though. idk how viable this is but.. it’s something so far! ^_^ does anyone have any thoughts
