So I really need to get something out of the way, here.
Alright. So this was brought up to my attention when I was talking to my lovely friend Bekaa...
Earlier today at the movies, my friend and I were talking about some things. Being me as I am, I was sitting in the bathroom stall checking my phone, hoping someone texted me, but to no avail. (and we were talking about a friend, who we noticed has pushed away a couple of people who they know in real life ((I'm not going to say any names.))) And just that overall got me thinking some things.
So, I mean, apparently this someone has been pushing away their friends they've been close with and known for a long time, all for someone on the internet (we assume & with the evidence IT'S PRETTY FUCKING OBVIOUS). I mean, DO NOT GET ME WRONG, most of my friends are all great people I've met online. I love them, and nothing can really come between that. But the thing is...I would never throw away my physical relationships just because you want more time to talk to this one person.
Now, also, I'm not saying it's wrong that they're doing this. I mean, they can do whatever they want, be it throwing away friendships or rebuilding those crumbled bridges. But IN MY BELIEFS, there is a line between the internet relationships, and the physical ones.
"Well maybe they feel more comfortable with the online friend" or "Maybe they just are really that much in love with them!" arguments are most likely going to be thrown at this, so why not address them now.
That's totally fine if that's true. But however, seeing has how the physical friendships were completely fine and there was most likely no under-lying issue, it just doesn't make sense why someone would completely "forget" about their relationships with anyone else.
Which kinda leads us into the "Blinded by love" concept. When someone gets their mind wrapped around the thought that someone is so indescribably perfect, they tend to...forget about everything else because that person makes them so happy.(what happened to "bros before hoes" or "chicks before dicks" OR WHATEVER??) But being happy is great, right? Well, yeah. But again, in my infamous opinion, isn't the consistency of the happiness that the friendships you have better than the most likely (not always) temporary (face it hun, we're kids) infatuation of the love interest? (it's so totally possible that's not the case here, but you get what I'm sayin')
It's just...it kinda upsets me that this friend, who honestly is a great person, is acting this way. Writing this is kind of me venting. So if something doesn't make sense, please excuse the fact that it's 2:18 am and I'm tired.
But yeah. I needed to vent that out. There might be some flaws in the way I worded it, or just my thoughts overall. But these are just my thoughts...if you have anything to say about them or against them, just let me know! Simple as that. I don't want some stray person seeing this and sending a whole bunch of hate shit to me just because they can't read something correctly.
Either way, I don't know why they would be reading it
