Nur wenige Kilometer westlich der Stadtgrenze befindet sich in Donndorf das Schloss Fantaisie, das Wilhelmine und ihr Gatte Friedrich für ihre Tochter Friederike errichten ließen. Die Markgrafen setzten bei Schloss Fantaisie Eindrücke ihrer fast einjährigen Italienreise Mitte das 18. Jahrhunderts um. A tipp for the weekend is a trip Palace Fantaise just outside of Bayreuth. Wilhelmine and her husband Friedrich have this palace for their daughter Friedericke. Nur wenige Kilometer außerhalb der heutigen Stadt liegt das Schloss Fantaisie in einer herrlichen Parkanlage. Markgräfin Wilhelmine ließ es für ihre Tochter Friedericke Sophie errichten. Auch wenn Bayreuth kein Problem mit Menschenmassen oder Overtourism hat, wer die Ruhe liebt, sollte diesen Park besuchen. Der läuft nämlich noch unter „Geheimtipp“.
