Capwolf sullenly sticking his massive head inside cat!tony's lil bed cave so he doesn't have to look at cat!tony snuggling up and playing with another avengers. If you walk by close enough, you can almost feel his quiet growling.

Until cat!Tony decides to grace him with his presence again, announces his arrival with a purr, and capwolf is so startled at the sound that he suddenly jerks his head up, cat bed and all.

Tony getting Loki cursed into a cat on the full moon and Steve stuck as Capwolf being just … enchanted

All he wants to do is lick and play with the kitty Tony. Unfortunately while normal Tony is a big fan of Capwolf, cat!Tony is all discombobulated and on edge and radiating Do Not Touch Me. And after a few swipes Capwolf is respecting his space but looking at him like the cupcake dog from afar.

It’s heartbreaking

(Of course eventually Cat!Tony is tired enough to want a soft, warm place to nap and this fluffy shadow he’s had all day will do he guesses. Capwolf will maybe burst with happiness but he also Can Not Move least he wake Tony and this moment ends. Clint takes many pictures)

oh god i love this!! I feel for Capwolf, i really do, but i think he forgets that the first time he transformed was super overwhelming and unnerving, that it's really hard learning to balance all the ingrained territorial animal instincts bombarding him and remind himself that the people around him aren't a threat. It's a lot to adjust to both physically and socially, and Tony just needs a bit of time alone to calibrate (cat-librate?) himself.

Capwolf's patience pays off though. :) He's dejectedly hogging the couch when his ears flick over to where he hears the whisper of paws on the floor. He lifts his head in surprise to look down at Cat!Tony as he jumps up onto the couch in front of him, and almost starts purring himself right then and there when Tony butts his head against capwolf's jaw and rubs up against him.

They end up spending the rest of the night asleep on the couch together, the light from the full moon plenty bright enough for Clint to take pics of Tony curled up between capwolf's paws, capwolf's head resting gently and protectively over tony's dark, furry body as they ride out the rest of this transformation in each other's company <3

ooh, you know I really want to believe that capwolf knows not to chew on Tony's shoes but I also feel like this is extremely wishful thinking on my part 😅

i imagine that over time Tony just becomes better and better at programming a Capwolf Protocol into JARVIS to maintain some semblance of order in the tower while Steve is in wolfmode. Or maybe the solution is to just give in to maximum capwolf cuddles while Steve is transformed so that he never has a reason to take out his canine anxieties on Tony's shoes and clothes and furniture and other assorted possessions :)
