four stranger things screenshots show an edit of a conversation between Joyce and Will Byers. Joyce: I think about that night all the time, the night it came for you. Will: mom, what happened to me, it's not your fault Joyce: What kind of mother doesn't check on their 11-year-old boy?

I know the rest of the dialogue says "the night it came for you, the night all this started, I didn't know you were missing for 8 hours"... but could they be talking at cross-purposes here? As in... Something happened to Will a year before he was taken to The Upside Down?

EDIT: OKAY I'M NOT CRAZY BECAUSE LOOK AT THIS

Screenshots show Joyce saying: "She hasn't seen what I've seen, and I am not gonna look away. Not again." When Will went missing, Joyce didn't look away, NOT ONCE. People told her to move on, but she never once stopped looking for Will. She never gave up on him, neither did she when he was possessed in season 2... So, what is Joyce referring to here?

TRUNK

She is sitting in the trunk of her car listening to music. Let me explain for those that might find this weird XD

I grew up in the country and on some nights where it was nice and clear I would gather some blankets and pillows along with some battery powered lights and make a little set up in the drive through in the trunk of one of the many old cars we had on the property. You could see the stars so well out there we were hours from a big city haha. I miss seeing the Milky Way. And let me tell you those trunks are so deep and cozy you could fit so many bodies in there if you wanted to—

I MEAN WHAT?

Anyway, I shared a bedroom with my cousin who would come over every summer, and on nights I wanted to be alone I would retreat to a car trunk, sketchbook in hand, and be out there for hours. My cousin thought I ran away once—XD

hello! I don't quite know how your request system works but your john + bucky (captured?) AU gives me life and I would love to see more

I'm enjoying it too! You can always make a request for follow ups (or really anything else that suits you).

Others have asked for Bucky in a car trunk. So we're adding that into the mix.

They're sold as a set. John can picture the doll box with the plastic window showing Captain America and his sidekick Bucky Barnes.

"What are you laughing about?" Bucky grouses.

They're shoulder to shoulder. Packed tight into the back of a trunk. John can feel each time Bucky so much as breathes.

"Nothing," John says.

Bucky shrugs. He doesn't care.

There's a terrible smell percolating between them, but John can no longer discern his body odor from Bucky's. He wonders, vaguely, if Steve Rogers was ever this intimate with Bucky. If he ever lost track of his scent in Bucky's.

John tries to shift, but only succeeds in half-sitting in Bucky's lap. Bucky adjusts his thigh, kicking John off himself.

At least they're no longer tied together by razor wire.

"Where do you think we're headed?"

"The buyer was Madripoorian," Bucky says darkly. "So we're probably on our way to a shipping dock."

John tries to remember their buyer's face, but the auction was a chaos of faces and numbers and languages.

"How do you know?"

"He spoke Malay. And he had gang tattoos specific to Madripoor." Bucky sighs, shifting again. Now he's mostly in John's lap, but John doesn't push him off.

"What's in Madripoor?" It pains John to ask this. To ask all these questions. Makes him feel small and vulnerable.

Steve Rogers would know. Steve Rogers would have escaped by now. Would have rescued Bucky. Wiped that irritable expression right off his face.

Bucky doesn't respond.

Rage flares in John at his silence. He wouldn't ignore Steve Rogers, would he? He wouldn't. He wouldn't dare. No one ignores Captain America. No one would dare. They--

"Calm down, John," Bucky says with a sigh.

John didn't realize he was huffing through his nose until just now. He focuses on calming himself. Steve Rogers would remain calm.

"I don't know why they're taking us to Madripoor." He shifts slightly. His metal arm flexes. "But I can guess."
