Here’s a recent painting featuring a summer favorite, the creamsicle. I felt like creating something for summer to add to my food and drink series. July has given me some warm days, and I use them as an excuse to enjoy my favorite cold treats. The orange creamsicle is one of my favorites and has inspired me to create this piece. This ice cream popsicle is surrounded by ice cubes and orange slices, with a blue backdrop giving this piece a poolside splash.

Pizza for Dinner

This is one of the two watercolor paintings that I worked on this week. This one features a pepperoni pizza. I titled it “Pizza for Dinner.” Food-themed paintings make me hungry.

Picnic with Desserts

This is one of the two food-themed watercolor paintings that I worked on this week. This one features a spread of desserts on a picnic blanket. The theme is perfect because my strawberries are ripening, and my blueberries won’t be far behind them. I titled it “Picnic with Desserts.”

Gone Fishing

This one is just for fun. When I started making art as a kid, I mainly drew cartoon characters. It wasn't until I got much older that I began developing a more realistic style. Sometimes, it's nice to take a break from realism. So, this is just a funny little cartoon cat in a pond. I painted this with acrylic paint on an 8x10 inch canvas. I call it "Gone Fishing."
