probably the funniest video ever
At first glance, this video came off as serious but then quickly became very satirical.
The video, “BACKER,” takes the form of a “mockumentary.” In the video, Mac DeMarco plays the role of Dave Fuck, an everyman car-backer. Dave backs up cars as a profession and gives the audience a little insight of day-to-day car backing. He also goes in-depth about car backing struggles while venturing into dreams.
The video is outrageously funny, especially when you’re listening to Dave go from just talking about car backing transition to something completely existential and inspirational. This video does a great job delivering its punch lines. “I’ll back you up.”
