You don’t even know if there have been complaints from officers because those could easily be squashed by a higher up not wanting trouble.

Shooting everyone caught with the crows has been, and always will be, a terrible policy. Don’t say ‘all cops are bad.’ That’s a great way to alienate them even more than they already are and worsen the problem. That’s just making more tension and anger. By all means be pissed at the ones who have done wrong and yell that too, but taking it out on every single one just reinforces the message that the public hates them, so why should they even bother?

That’s one of many reasons why the so-called ‘blue wall of silence’ exists, and it’s a problem.
