body extension project individual concept brainstorm. 

in order to complicate the design as well as further define my actions and abilities the construct would be three layers: (1) a piece of this chipboard shaped to the ellipse defined by my shoulder hips butt and face (2) an exterior piece of chip board formed to make a cylinder (3) in between the inner and outer chip board would be a fill of sorts to provide rigidity and allow the extension to exist as its own entity.

so the door promptly fell off, which I am not even a little bit surprised about because we had the same issue with the castle last year, the doors fell off right away, because the paint warps the cardboard in a way that makes the edges curl, so it becomes unattached on the edges and only attached in the middle, which then falls off really easily

so now I’m making attempts to fix it. the children said I should just hot glue it on, but then it won’t be able to open and close easily, and will just break. unfortunately, the edge of the box it was attached to is at a weird angle just from how the kids play with it

so I am making vague attempts at hinges. this is attempt one. a piece of cardboard hot glued to each part (there’s also tape, but that’s mostly to hold it in place while it dries). no idea if it’ll work, but I guess we’ll find out.
