Rudolph AU! Dean is a reindeer thats afraid of flying (and seriously reindeer dont have wings whose bright idea was this) who with Sam, an elf who doesnt want to make toys for the rest of his life, decide to leave the north pole.
Along the way they meet Bobby Singer, who is not so much a prospector as he is in the 'hunting abominable snowmen' business. Deciding that going after yetis sounds like an infinitely better plan than either flying or making toys, Sam and Dean decide to tag along but a close encounter with the beast separates them from Bobby and lands them on the island of misfit toys.
On the island theres a jack-in-the-box named Charlie, a polka dotted elephant, cowboys who ride ostriches, and a porcelain angel doll with cracks in his 'skin' named Castiel. The toys cant leave the island on their own and hope one day that Santa will decide that they're good enough to be given as gifts on christmas, because after all thats what all toys really want, but after meeting Sam and Dean, Castiel isnt so sure.
The trio leave the island to go and find Bobby to try and get back to the new hunting lifestyle.
No last minute saving Santa in this story though, because seriously man fuck flying.
