yeah the Consul and @arty-e's CARDS comic has partly consumed my mind so here he is in all his glory

so yeah, this is Consolación "Consul" Asturias, a commoner from the Kingdom of Spades!

he's eccentric enough that a LOT of people think that he's lost his marbles, but that's just his chaotic-ass personality doing the job! plus, the people who are close to him know VERY well abt that

Consul used to be quite a street urchin who knows all about the gossip in the neighborhood, making other kids like him know what's going on. sometimes even some of the elders come to him for the info, but he puts a price before he could say anything.

now he's happily adopted by a woman (i'll call her Ms. Asturias for now) who owns a tavern/restaurant-esque place, which he also decorates with paintings on the walls from time to time! Ms. Asturias is also the reason why he knows about spying and the like in the first place, which REALLY fed his ambition.

he also didn't get a name until he was adopted, so he had to choose one for himself. since he's quite intelligent but not so smart on the books sector, he chose what seemed to be the coolest-looking name from the book of names that his mom got. and somehow, he didn't even realize that it was a girl's name until one of the other, more book-smart urchins told him abt it a few months later.

he adopted the nickname of "Consul" soon after that, despite only knowing about it from skimming through another one of Ms. Asturias' books

annnd his goal is to be hired by ANY of the Royals/Nobles from any Kingdom (he's a neutral boi) to do some spying for them and give them info for later use!

Ok, I remember @arty-e talking about her cards world and saying that since it's so small it would be funny if there were other continents with different games like chess. So I took it upon myself to design the black queen.

I gave her a pirate estc look because there's nothing really like it in the cards world, so I thought it'll be cool.

Yes you can make OCs! I dont mind and it’s fun to see what people come up with! On the cards discord server everyone is making their own OCs and their own mini stories for them! You should check it out! Everyone is so nice and supportive on there!

Is mercury available for shiping? Like with are own oc's for the world? Cause I have a strong need to ship him with an oc that represents myself. (Might even make some art of it,)

He does have a love interest that he ends up with but I’m all for you shipping your oc with him. It certinly hasn’t stopped other fandoms shipping people together that aren’t from the canonical couple (and there is nothing wrong with that!). I don’t even mind you self inserting. Cringe culture is dead on my blog. I’m a safe space for anything that’s not harmful. So go wild my dude! Have fun!
