If something were announced, he wasn't around to hear it. His only clue that anything's going on is from the multiples of people swarming around a specific area, and he'd be nervous if it weren't for the smiles and looks of expectation on their faces. He can gauge from that that no one's hurt, and there's nothing horrific beyond them. Thankfully.
