My care bear collection! 💖💛💚💙💜
In regards to the flashback speculation, the writers can now use Sapphire and Ruby in flashbacks since the end of season one revealed Garnet to be a fusion. I'm personally hoping for and looking forward to that.
I’m hopeful for more Ruby and Sapphire in show too when the opportunity arises! Although of course Garnet is I think going to be the dominant focus still as the audience is much more familiar with her as a character than Ruby and Sapphire.
For the fandom-related Qs, all the letters in your URL :D
HOO BOY
P: Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
The amount of enthusiasm I have for a Theater Kid Fire Emblem AU is incredible, specifically Owain and Cynthia dramatically reading Shakespeare at each other and putting on ridiculously large-scale plays and casting all their friends.
U: What are your favorite male/female ships?
Ben/Leslie (Parks and Rec), Sadie/Lars and Steven/Connie (Steven Universe), York/Carolina (RvB), Cynthia/Owain (Fire Emblem), Ren/Nora (RWBY), Soul/Maka (Soul Eater), Waka/Seo (GNSK)…. and etc.
R: A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.
Hmmmm, you know, most of the rare pairs I ship just don’t have many fans of the fandom in general, and therefore not much fanwork of one particular ship. Idk if that actually counts, but I also have a hard time finding Owain/Cynthia and any other specific Fire Emblem pairing, just because there’s so many ships in that game. Also there’s a sad lack of Amethyst/Pearl stuff and I kinda like that ship so…
L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?
This is turning out to be a mostly fire emblem conversation but DUDE if I could get some of the awesome FE artists on here to draw all my ships I WOULD CRY (esp that theater kid AU I mentioned earlier)
E: Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?
Not really. I do like to make fanmixes???
G: What was your first fandom?
Warrior cats, man. Brightheart/Cloudtail was my ORIGINAL otp.
I: Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Probably My Little Pony. I was a self-proclaimed brony for like two years and I loved the fandom, never had any issues with people there, had a great time. Then I joined tumblr, joined other fandoms, lost interest, but now tumblr constantly highlighting the negative parts of the fandom means that I probably won’t ever return.
Not, of course, saying that the brony fandom doesn’t deserve criticism. Just saying that it’s a little tiring to hear the almost constant talk of it, especially in the Steven Universe fandom, which I’m just now getting into.
Y: A fandom you’re in but have no ships from.
Hmmmm, you know, I don’t know if that exists for me. I’m a pretty hardcore shipper. It’s a little embarrassing.
B: A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.
I didn’t really dig Seamonkeys too much until my friend Olive talked about it and I saw the light, per se. Caroline also got me pretty hardcore into USUK but then my qualms with that ship mostly had to do with my qualms with the show before she dragged me kicking and screaming into it xD
A: Your current OTP.
Probably Cynthia/Owain (as you can tell from these asks lol) mostly because I had a pretty hardcore headcanon discussion about them with Madison two nights ago and it got me pretty excited about them.
Also, like, Seo/Waka. Because Seo/Waka.
N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).
I love the Steven Universe fandom! There’s very little negativity, and lots of cute gemsonas and funny jokes and it’s just so fun. I just got into it and it’s got that new fandom charm for me.
S: What’s a headcanon you have?
The Lars is trans headcanon is something I’m really excited about right now tbh. It gives him depth and explains some of the aspects of his character, and I just like it a lot.
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?
Yes, but more importantly, I’ve asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned
Fun fact: My sister thought the lyrics were ‘porn porn moon’ for a large chunk of her life and as a 6 year old she’d belt that out randomly (JUST that part ‘cause it was her favorite) and my mom was too amused to correct her
Body Week
So, my college friend/ RA buddy ay-prill made a similar post to this listing 5 things she like about herself. Since body week is this week, she focused on things about her physical self that she liked. I think, as women in an overwhelmingly 'thin' culture, we put so much pressure on ourselves and our body image - it'd be good to do something nice to ourselves for a change. So, I'm going to list 5 things I like about my body.
1. My height - Life is good when you're a tall, I never have to ask anyone to reach something for me - I'm a strong independent woman, and I can get it all by myself. Also, being tall helps give the illusion that you're thinner even when you don't feel like it. The long legs that come with being tall also happen to be a sexy plus (except for when you're pants aren't long enough to cover them).
2. My skin- Why yes, I'm not your average white girl, I am very proud of my native heritage! The way my skin tans up to a nice graham-cracker brown in the sun makes me smile, as I finally feel like my outside matches how I identify inside. Also, I get tons of compliments on my facial complexion, it's even and acne-free and I absolutely love it.
3. My hair- I used to hate my curls, and I still prefer to straighten it, but I have come to respect and love my hair with all of it's quirks. It's been super short and crazy long and all of the colors of the rainbow, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Also, I once cut off 10 inches and the letter that I received informing me of how it was made into a wig for a little girl with cancer touched my heart. Who would have thought that something from your own body could be used to change someones life in such a way.
4. My butt- That's right, this girl has a little extra meat on her bones and few pounds in the trunk. I love my butt, it's big and beautiful and sure knows how to grab someone's attention. And what's even better, I got myself a man who appreciates these curves. ;]
"Because you know I'm all about that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble."
5. My breasts - Yup, I said it. They might not be double-d's, but they aren't mosquito bites neither. As my comical Aunt put's it "more than a mouthful's a waste" anyway! My boobs make me feel sexy and I love to dress up in ways that accent them and put them on display. And someday, if and when I have kids, I will use them to nurture life. What's not to be proud of?
I'm going to tag a few ladies I know to do this for themselves, because as my friend ay-prill put it: "It’s nice to remind yourself of little things that make you fucking fabulous."
3, 4, 17
3. how many ocs do you have?
Oh lord, around 20ish, just counting main characters from stories I've written. Adding in side characters boosts it up even further.
4. Already answered! :D
17. have you ever roleplayed as your ocs?
Yup! I had two fantroll OCs that I used to rp with all the time with my good friend.
