Guess who just got back into an old hyper fixation? *Jazz hands* This guyyyyyy
So since I binged the entirety of The Caretaker Chara!AU and I’ve adored UnderFell’s concept for quite some time already, I thought… what if I combine the two?
I’ve been seeing UnderSwap versions of the Caretaker AU but I don’t think I’ve seen any Underfell versions of it… so I thought: “Why not try making one?” So here it is! Caretaker Fell!Chara
If you’re curious for more information, you could send asks and I wouldn’t mind answering them! Stay tuned for more doodles and drawings whenever I feel like it!
In order of appearance:
Caretaker of the Ruins ( @caretaker-au )
Inverted Fate ( @invertedfate )
CORE!Frisk ( @corefrisk )
Lunartale ( an /r/undertale-based AU, no tumblr link :/)
OFFtale ( @offtale-au-sc )
Basically I’m in the middle of a dry spell in regards to @otherworldlygame development, so I’m passing the time and trying to stimulate creative thought by sketching some stuff from various AUs that I like. Tried my best to blend the artstyles of each AU with my own (if you can call my shaky mess of penmanship an “artstyle”), and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. Was gonna include Dogs of Future Past/Chara Origins, but my hand hurts from drawing all these so ima do that later maybe.
“I know, we’ve gotten another soul… we’re another step closer to completing our plan. I should be excited… but all I feel right now… is the guilt of not keeping an eye on that child. They just wanted to dance, Asriel. They just wanted to dance.”

Some AU info rambles: How each fallen human dies in this AU is only slightly different compared to how the humans die in The OG Caretaker AU. I plan to show/hint the differences in later comics or pictures but for now, I’ll explain Integrity’s death since it’s one of the other simpler ones.
When integrity fell into the underground, Chara was reluctant to guide them through the underground after the incident with the Bravery child. However, after the Monsters in the ruins’ many attempts of trying to end Integrity’s life, Chara and the child grew closer as they began to trust each other more.
As the two continued venturing through the ruins, the child tried getting Chara to dance with them. No longer reluctant and on edge, Chara agreed. They failed to realise, as they were distracted with each other’s company, the 2 monsters approaching and attempting another attack. Chara defended the child as they did before, but failed to notice that the child went too far ahead in fear of getting hurt. After the fight, only then did Chara realise that the child ran off.
Chara found the child at the spiked maze hallway, just in time to see the kid turn around to look at Chara, fearful but relieved to see the caretaker, before getting impaled by the false tile. Chara panics, gags, and almost resets at the spot to undo what happened… but they didn’t. The point, Chara’s job, was to give Asgore the souls of the fallen humans. If they undid the incident, Chara wouldn’t be able to bring themself to hand over the child to Asgore… so, against all integrity, Chara let the child die.
