I'm not doing this podcasting thing as a hobby or a joke. This is my God given talent to speak of issues when others in the media world are scared to approach. what I do now in the Entertainment industry is Media. I'm a media person. Whether is be on my podcast, blogging posts and vlogging channel. I have somewhat realised and recognize what my gift is... So I wanna kick the New Year off with a reintroduction. ⠀ ⠀ 👋🏾 I’m Kerry-Ann and I’m the host of @carryonfriends founder of @BreadfruitMedia and the Caribbean Podcast Directory.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The vision, mission and purpose for #CaribPodDirectory is the hub where people can discover a growing list of podcasters of Caribbean Heritage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I launched my podcast @CarryOnfriends in January 2015, I couldn’t find another Caribbean Podcaster who created Caribbean specific content or a Caribbean Podcaster who created content for a general audience. It doesn’t mean they didn’t exist but maybe hard to find. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #CaribPodDirectory started out as an article published February 2018 on Carry On Friends called 10 Podcasts Hosted by Caribbean Americans. The article did very well in terms of helping me discover other podcast creators. So when I launched Breadfruit Media in May 2018, I expanded the initial list of 10 by creating a page for the directory. This past August the directory got its own dedicated website to accommodate for the growing field of podcasters of Caribbean Heritage. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A little bit more about me, I was born and raised in Jamaica until 9th grade.
