I think it’s about time I talk about RPG Hell! Here are our first three characters:
Vitrail Alkester is a bright, optimistic young man who just so happens to be The Chosen One™! He’s actually half-demon, which isn’t really a thing that’s supposed to happen. As such, he has a lot of medical complications and has spent most of his life either bedridden or in physical therapy, unable to get much help since demons were banished back to Hell a few decades ago and while Vitrail is too human to be sent back, he and his mother have been shunned by most of society. His life turned around once Carisel appeared and gave him a magical sword, which allows him to function like normal for as long as he holds it. It also helps him channel his innate demonic magical aptitude, letting him use fire and ice magic. He’s confident in his ability to defeat the obligatory evil that rises every thousand years and trusts all of his partners to the fullest. He sees the best in everyone and is willing to give everyone a chance... and so, he’s gathered a group of villains to save the world.
Carisel is a fairy from a neighboring planet who is very tight-lipped when it comes to her past and motives. All that’s known is that she came to this planet with a magical sword in search of the chosen one so they could use it to save the world. She needs Vitrail to slay monsters and whoever else gets in his way, as the sword runs off of the life energy of other beings and in turn gives her more power. She claims she needs the power to teleport Vitrail and company to their various destinations, but it seems like a little much. She responds with hostility to any questioning of her goals, though to be fair she responds with hostility to most things. Despite her cutesy and sweet appearance (it’s worth mentioning that she’s only a few inches tall), she’s irritable, impatient, and hard to get along with. Not that that’ll stop Vitrail!
Azior Blye is an accomplished gunslinger and thief who spends his days robbing and holding people hostage for ransom. In fact, RPG Hell begins right after he kidnaps Vitrail, only to find that his family is incredibly poor and all he has to his name is the sword he needs to save the world. Vitrail manages to convince Azior to join him, promising that he can have all of the money they make on their journey. Azior agrees, driven by a love for adventure and sweet, sweet cash. Though he likes to break rules and acts with total disregard for the law, he’s fairly affable and, deep down, has a heart of gold.
