I want to hear your Aki/Carl thoughts, if you would ÔwÔ

I think they're super interesting. Akihiro is a character who has walls built up around him that are so strong, he generally doesn't know how to show affection for people he loves, he doesn't even really know how to be a person sometimes, so forming such a deep connection with someone should be very difficult for him. But with Carl, he was able to move past that in that dream. He and Carl spent a lifetime together. Whatever barriers he had put up, it seems that they were able to move past them. So we have someone who somehow knows him very well, beyond the various personas he puts up for the world to see, but also doesn't really know him at all. Because that dream wasn't real, and because Akihiro seemingly was fairly young at the time, and went on the live a much longer life filled with even more trauma and things happening to him that shaped the man we know him as today.
I think Carl is a very interesting character from what we know of his background, that he was doing this lifelong dream thing after one night stands for a while, to get by while being closeted. I hope that e continues to be more developed as he's barely had any content so far (Marauders didn't do a very good job of showing who he is, it was far from the ideal first book for a newly introduced character to appear in.)
Personally I'm more partial to Akihiro/Bobby, but I think these two deserve to be endgame. I have some small hope in me that Orlando might write them again in the future (unfortunately for some fans this would have to mean Akihiro would break up with Aurora/Jeanne-Marie, which I don't mind lol). I think it just makes the most sense, given that Akihiro had Carl resurrected so that he could finally live his life as openly gay, and they already have the chemistry and history, and also along with the fact that Akihiro deserves someone who sees him as he really is, and he seemingly feels comfortable around Carl, more so than with most people. I hope they get together soon, and I don't doubt that Orlando would write it, I just doubt that Marvel would let him now that Akihiro's in a relationship that other writers and fans seem to like.
