man I wish I didn't have severe daddy issues, because I love Daniel Molloy and want to analyze his relationship with his daughters, but I just. can't stop comparing my situation to his daughters', which is not a good road to walk on for me. Since I yknow. really love Daniel Molloy as a character and do not want to imagine he has done the things my father has done to me. and I know logically that just because his daughter didn't want him to be a part of her life, doesn't mean that he severely abused her in the way that my dad did, but its just. really hard Not to compare. With the whole no contact thing. Like I don't wanna think about how my Dad is hurting a lot without me in his life.

thinking about Armand calling Daniel "an eager black hole," and 50 years later describing himself as "a room without walls, floors or a ceiling." Something something he saw his own desperation in Daniel, his own void of nothingness. I fully believe that it's the thing that kept him watching Daniel from the shadows all those years, the initial reason he didn't kill him. Yet he initially used it as an insult against Daniel. Hm I wonder why that is.

i haven't been able to fully watch the Nicky's death scene because my OCD makes it impossible to handle watching amputation... but I kind of hope some day I can because. God Nicky :( hes so fucking tragic it makes me. auugh.
