“Carl?”

The brunette raised her head from her knees upon hearing a clattering in the kitchen, she scraped her ruffled curls from her face and waited for her eyes to adjust. Rick was still unconscious on the sofa which was forced against the door, and Carl had disappeared to shoo some walkers that were lurking on the other side.

because of talking dead and everyone's wonder on how walter white (and other brba characters) would be set in the zombie apocalypse, i now offer personal headcanons as to what i think would transpire if they were ever tested to survive in a way rick and the group do every day-- under the cut.

→ i know that there is no government anymore. it has peeled away just as the rotted flesh of the world leaders who ran it. walter would take advantage of that and use that to his will. the defunct government would be a weapon to him, something he'd utilize for the sake of using it. hell, there are no laws. why not have some fun with that? walt would be practically invincible to all other fenders and survivors. i think his characterization would go from meeky chem teacher to a concoction brutal philip blake and metatron. in a way, the guests of talking dead were right. walt would be comic!governor. he'd be ruthless, inhumane, angry all the goddamn time yet thriving in the power given to-- well-- himself.

→ don't think that he wouldn't drag people in his mess, either. manipulation would be necessary, because if not then who would ever listen to him? who would ever love him for who he is? he has to pretend to be kind because that's the only way he could earn the trust and love of people who could be useful to his cause and future decisions.

→ now here's where his family comes in. i am more than positive that if the apocalypse were to ever go down that walter junior and holly would be dead. it's not a matter of picking and choosing, eliminating the characters i don't like, it's just the matter of natural selection. holly's immune system? forget about it. as for junior, i am more than sure that his father attempted to save him but to no avail. that bite was coming and it had his name on it. damn, call it fate if you want.

→ skyler? she'd be alive. jesse, too. i know that skyler is strong enough to fend for herself. if she could pick up a knife to defend her children from a man she loved then i'm sure she could pick up a damn hand gun (low caliber, easy to conceal) and shoot a walker with it. jesse was just made to suffer. he's lucky as well, yes, but not as lucky as walter. in my head, jesse forgave walt in his own twisted way. that last minuscule fragment of humanity was given to jesse and for that jesse was able to forgive, but he'd be damned if he ever forgot.

→ i don't think walter would run his own town like the governor did but i feel like he would have minions swarming him and just about frothing at the mouth to get in his good graces. walter would honestly have no problem murdering a man, or woman, in cold blood. *

→ SAUL GOODMAN ASKING TO PURCHASE A VACUUM CLEANER THROUGH THE PHONE AND HAVING THE DISAPPEARER HIDE HIM IN A BASEMENT FOR ETERNITY UNTIL HE FINALLY ESCAPED AND WHO THE HELL KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? THE GUY IS A COWARD HE PROBABLY DIED

*note: walter has no problem committing homicide even if the threat was a woman. if probable cause gave, he would do it without a qualm, because that's just how he is.

***UPDATE: Jesse wouldn't care if he lived or died. What was the point when everyone you love is dead, right? Or at least that's what one in the grieving process would think. Let a walker bite him, let them stagger at night on the cold, wet ground where he sleeps. He doesn't care, but every day he survives, and every day he's burdened by it.
