Headstone (leaves this here with a box of tissues)
Carl. Carl. Oh god. What Lori had to think of him now, what Shane had to think. His son, his only son was gone. His boy. Nothing could describe the type of love a father had for his son and now all of that was gone. Rick approached the grave, a pistol clenched in his palm. The grave wasn’t much but it was all that Rick could have done for his son.
Instead of just a cross somewhere on the side of the road, Rick had chosen this place because of a conversation he and his son had previously. His son wanted to see the grand canyon, and Rick had nothing left to wait for. He had taken the trip and buried his son. The boy he had spent his entire life protecting was gone because of Rick’s failures. The mission was over. Rick had survived only to find his family and now they were gone, Carl was the last straw. Rick put the gun to his temple, taking a deep breath and pulled the trigger.
"How long did you let me believe that Santa was real?"
A light hearted laugh escaped Lori's lips, before everything went down she was dreading the day he found out about Santa, now the world was a shitty place and she found it funny this was a main concern of his.
"I think I managed to get a good ten years out of your little gullible heart" She laughed more. "It was all with the best intentions though"

"You're scared, I get it, but, Carl, if you don't lower your gun things are about to get a lot worse for you. That's a promise."
