Shadowsan!!! I remember watching the first episode back in 2019 and thinking oh man. i am gonna be so mentally ill about this guy. I loved his character arc and Paul Nakauchi’s performance was SO GOOD. Anyway I used this picture of Toshiro Mifune I found on pinterest as a reference

His smoke is too powerful his swagger too high. I love him so much

Day 2: Favorite Ship

Tbh I can vibe w the main Carmen ships (like RedCrackle n CarmIvy) but good god do these two own every corner of my brain lol

I absolutely love these two! They r history nerds together!! They’re Red and Blue!! Secret agent and super thief!! AGSJSKSJ—

Ok it was only supposed to be a colored sketch. And then I did linework and it snowballed from there. And now it has shading and an overlay oops. Also my struggles w drawing Jules helped bc I had practice from day one. Go figure lol

This turned out so good I’m so proud of it :)

Carmen Week Day 1: Favorite Character

My favorite is Carmen Sandiego herself, she's so darn cool and pretty! ❤️ This is a redraw of a piece I did a few years ago

Day 1

Favourite Characther

It's very difficult for me to draw just one character. And drawing Carmen and Gray would have been very simple on my part. That's why I decided to draw my favorite characters. I have more, but the more I thought, the more I realized that they are my favorites. Idecided to do this work experimenting with watercolors, applying the color that represents each character and making the water give interesting stains.

day 5: AU!!

i decided to draw my own take on the "paper star and carmen escape VILE together" au that has been floating around in my head for months and has a near incoherent three thousand word brainstorming doc to prove it

i also tried to redesign carmen, who i've decided calls herself cardinal in this au because there is no cookie booker escape with the coat and hat (paper star also influences the name).

i took inspo from harajuku fashion which i think is what PS is designed on also? i figured that since carmen sandiego adopted the first article of clothing she ever put on as her trademark that cardinal would just copy paper stars style and i think thats fun

so anyway. they're messy, they're gay, and they definitely have a big dramatic betrayal where they realize that there was never a future in which they could be together or something like that
