ok guys so let me take you on a coloring journey

so the initial plan was to colour all of my pages with the coloured pencils technique that i used in the lil illustrations previews i posted like a month ago or so. right.

the thing is. with my chronic pain, doing a whole comics with this technique is just not sustainable. it's too painful, i can't do it.

but ALSO i think it doesn't look very good ? here are my tests on the first two pages pls tell me what you think.

so i was getting very frustrated with the way it looked, the fact that i didn't have a lot of browns and greens or purples, and more importantly, getting very annoyed at the fact that I would get tendinitis every time i would spend more than an hour working on colouring a page. i was getting quite depressed and demotivated about the whole project, ngl. so i figured id have to try another technique, which annoyed me too bc i loved the way the illustrations looked and i got quite positive feedbacks on them, too so i felt like i was gonna disappoint everybody if i used another technique.

the thing is, watercolour really is the one medium i love using the most and also the one that hurst the less. so i figured i'd have to give it a go.

so this is how the first couple of pageslook so far. I chose a more muted color palette to fit my initial vision that was more a grunge-y fairy core kind of aesthetic.
