Okay, I get it.

I'm not a Clapper. That's those folks who clap and cheer for everything. Hey I'll offer an encouraging word but I'm not going to clap and keep chanting; "You can do it". Sometimes you need that one person who speaks the truth to you and says "Waste of time friend". Ta-Da! I can do that at times. I always try and put a positive spin on things. For example, I have a buddy who plays Rec baseball. He asked what I thought of his fielding? I honestly said it was rough but I bet he could chew and spit tobacco with the best of them. He said "Oh thanks"! The carnival was in town which made things interesting the last few days. At times it was like visiting the land of bad tattoos. The kids were both gone this weekend. I tried to turn up the romance. I explained to my wife how the evening was going to be like a movie theater experience. There would be a few coming attractions and then the feature begins. She didn't play along like I would have liked, she said; "What no flowers or candy?" I told her how flowers were a yesterday thing and if she wanted sweets she had a big hunk of man candy right in front of her. Things didn't go as I had hoped. We had a nice evening. She never would sign my wavier.
