"57" (9-18-14)
If, one evening, you find yourself alone on a park bench with the sky turning to butter and orange peels above your head
imagine me sitting there, quietly.
Because my words have melted, like the sky become scalding, bitter
I cannot say them I do not think I have to
The orange peels become plums, Thicken, dry
Diamond Poem 9-16-14
Before
The light
That hides between
The shades of yellow
Like spots in the sun
Glowing, hot, burning, lasting
Until the day
Sinks down
