#96 Bellarke
(Sometime during s4 like a deleted scene or smth maybe?)
They were supposed to save the world, sure, but who was going to save them? After everything they’d been through, all of the death and tears and unimaginable pain, they stood standing. And now their only hope for survival was Nightblood or outer space.
How was she supposed to make this choice for them? If she saved all of them, would it redeem her soul?
“Clarke?” Bellamy walked into the office in the bunker, where Clarke was going over last minute thoughts. She should have been working, but all she wanted to do was lay down and sleep and just let whatever happen, happen. She was just one person, how was she supposed to do all of this? This was harder than making that list, harder than killing everyone on Mount Weather…
“Hey,” she said, her voice thick. She wiped at her face in case any wetness was left on her cheeks.
Like always, he seemed to be able to see right through her. Crouching in front of her, he forced her to look at him. “What’s going on?”
She should have told him she was fine. Lied through her teeth and hope for the best. “I’m not sure I can do this, Bellamy,” came out instead. Her voice cracked. The weight of the world was on her shoulders, but she was no Atlas; she was just a girl.
His expression softened and he reached out, taking her hands in his. The open vulnerability on his face made fat tears fall down her cheeks. “You can do this.” He squeezed her hands. “If any of us can make this happen, it’s you.”
She laughed, though it wasn’t really laugh. It was a bark, a cry, a sniffle all in one. “How can you be so sure? You all put so much faith in me and look where I’ve lead us? To destruction.”
He studied her face. “We’ve both done things we’re not proud of to get where we are.”
She swallowed. He was one of the few people who truly understood how that felt. The others could only imagine. “We can be better,” she insisted, pulling one of her hands away to wipe her cheeks. “If we survive this, promise me, we’ll be better.”
Better wasn’t an extreme. She wasn’t asking him for them to become good, or perfect; those were unachievable goals for either of them. But better?
“I can do better,” he nodded, with a thin smile and a twitch of his eyebrows.

Kiotr - 11. Bc you love me.
(I do love you the mostest!)
Piotr is the one no one has to worry about. He’s made of steel, he’s invulnerable while armored and even when he was flesh and bone, he was difficult to hurt. But, as always, life likes to throw curve balls. Fighting against teammates is nothing new, but a berserker Logan with adamantium claws does damage.
Even to Piotr.
He’s in too much shock to turn back, the steel of his abdomen shredded, showing organs encased in steel. There’s no blood. Which is good considering the number of students that witnessed the display.
“Be careful,” Hank McCoy cautions him as Piotr holds his hand against the hole in his chest. “I think we both know what will happen if you turn back to your human form.”
“Da,” Piotr says with a grimace.
“I think your body will heal itself even like this, but you’ll have to stay in your metal form until we can be sure,” Hank continues. They’ve moved down to the lower level infirmary, away from all of the kids, away from the wrecked lawn, away from Logan, immobilized by one of the younger mutant teams.
Piotr nods and then hears her before he sees her.
“Let me through!”
“I…Dr. McCoy said—“
“I don’t give a damn what Hank said, Josh, let me through or I’ll take you down with my bare hands, kid.”
Hank turns. “Let her through, Joshua. Thank you.”
Kate bursts into the room, looking equal parts weary and furious. “What is wrong with you?”
Piotr raises his eyebrows, though the expression is completely different when his body is made of metal. “I had to protect the school. The students. You.”
“Don’t try to sweet talk me,” Kate says, though her expression softens as she walks closer. She surveys the damage. It looks like a car wreck. She has no idea how they’ll fix him.
“Katen’ka,” he uses her nickname knowing it’ll soften her resolve. “I’m fine.”
She slips her hand into his. It’s always an odd sensation to feel touch through his metal skin. “You don’t look fine, Piotr. You’re ripped apart.” Her eyes move from the mess of his abdomen to his face. “You’re supposed to be the indestructible one. I almost lost you.”
His expression softens as much as it can. “But I’m here.” He squeezes her hand as gently as he dares.
She shakes her head, tears glistening in the corners of her eyes. “Always the gentle giant, aren’t you?” She pushes herself up on her toes and kisses him lightly on oddly warm metal lips.
”We’re all just one big polyamorous group.”

agents of shield should have ended with s5. it was a PERFECT ending, tying up all the loose ends. the new seasons are just going to unravel what was perfectly summed up in s5.
jean grey is NOT overrated and she deserves much more positive love from the fandom and also her story does not equal phoenix. she’s her own gd person!!!!
i hate mass market paperback books. (they’re like 6″x3″) i just…can’t read them. i hate them so much.

#12 - Kiotr - BECAUSE I can and I love them.
This was not exactly what they’d planned. They had a fire going, yes. Stockings lining the mantle and tacked up on the wall around the fireplace, yes. Warm drinks in hand, yes. Quiet, comfortable music had been replaced by a so called classic holiday movie, yes. Blankets in abundance, yes.
Kate coughed into the cuff of her long sleeve and sniffed. Piotr handed her a tissue from where the box lay nestled beside him. It should be between them, but Kate was not having it, snuggling as close to him as possible. She didn’t even seem concerned about getting him sick; not in an aggressively mean way, just in a Kate way.
She mumbled a thank you, balanced her mug between her knees and chest and used the offered tissue.
It was late, because Kate couldn’t sleep, the upper floors of the school filled with teenage mutants snoozing while Kate sneezed, coughed and blew herself silly. For some reason, the Nyquil wasn’t doing anything.
“This is awful,” she mumbled, tossing the tissue into the trash bin situated next to the sofa. “I just know I look horrid.”
Piotr arched an eyebrow and looked over at her. Messy hair, red nose. “I think you look cute.”
She narrowed her eyes and gave him a mock punch on the shoulder. “Don’t sweet talk me.”
“I mean it,” he replied, his smile reaching his eyes.
Knowing he was genuine, she let her gaze soften and snuggled up next to him, eyes turned toward the tv. On screen, a grown man dressed like an elf made the most horrific looking breakfast imaginable. Just watching it made Piotr’s stomach churn in discomfort.
“This was supposed to be a totally fun and sexy Christmas but look at me,” Kate said after a little while, unable to let it go.
Piotr chuckled, rubbing her shoulder with his hand. “Fun and sexy Christmas…at a school? Maybe I should have taken you elsewhere…” He tilted his head up in thought.
“No! I wanted to come here. This is your family. Clint’s off on a dumb mission thing and Susan’s in Hawaii so…” She paused, a sure fire sign that she was about to say something uncharacteristically unsnarky and needed a moment to process. “You’re my family. And the mutants here are your family. So here we are! Family holiday. Except I’m sick and feel like death and are you sure that was Nyquil and not like…a placebo?”
Long ago, Piotr learned how to sift through Kate’s complicated and twisty lines of dialogue. “Josh doesn’t typically heal anything smaller than a broken bone but I’m sure he’d make an exception,” he offered lightly.
Kate sighed. “It’s okay.” She sneezed into the crook of her elbow and made a face at the TV screen. “You still think I’m cute, right?”
Her grin made him laugh. “Yes.”
After a teeny coughing fit and a few gulps of tea with honey, Kate looked up at him in all seriousness. “Kiss me,” she ordered, though there was a bit of humor in her hoarse tone.
Piotr paused before he leaned down and kissed her forehead, vying for the easiest and cleanest option.
She made an unsatisfied noise but settled back down next to him, grabbing his hand and yanking his arm around her shoulders more firmly. “You say I’m cute but keep giving off mixed signals,” she shook her head. “Make up your mind, Tinman.”
She’d been spending way too much time with Logan, taking up to calling Piotr Tinman while they had scuffles of humorous arguments. It was amusing, if not a little bit weird to hear it from her.
“Shhhh,” Piotr said. “Aren’t we trying to watch the movie?”
“Yeah, yeah.”
