listen... hannibal/clarice will have a spot in my heart forever and ever. i remember reading the books when i was a wee babe and falling in love with them and even tho i adored the films i hated the changed ending

I just love them. And I love the movies, but the changed ending of Hannibal just bothers me. But then the book was first and the book is canon and canon says that they live happily ever after in Buenos Aires and that gives me joy.And I will keep reading Hannibal when I need romance, because under all those murders and cannibalism and Paul fucking Krendler, it’s a love story. And there is nothing that makes me think otherwise.So if you ask me to tell my favorite romantic moment in books, it’s going to be Hannibal Lecter in Florence, in the Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, picking up fancy soaps and skin lotions for Clarice Starling and just casually slipping a drawing of her as a griffin in the package. Like who even does that? That is just some next level wooing right there. I would move to Buenos Aires with somebody like that too. No judgement, Clarice, none at all.
