Round up of some of the women who have amazed us:

Quan Hongchen - Team China, Diving

17 years old and a perfect dive? Also, she defended her title so she would have been 13 at the last Olympics? 😮🤯

Gabby Thomas - Team USA, Track and Field

Not only did she win gold in her event but she has a Harvard degree in neurobiology, master's in public health from the University of Texas and volunteers at health clinic in Austin.

Caroline Marks - Team USA, Surfing

Not much to say about her, I just think this was my favorite event to watch and I can’t imagine standing in a board let alone riding a wave.

Kristin Faulkner - Team USA, Cycling

Grew up in Alaska. Rowed at Harvard. Moved to NYC after school. Started working for a venture capital firm. Took a beginner's cycling class in Central Park. Started competing in local cycling tournaments. Quit her job & moved to California to cycle full-time. Added to the USA road cycling roster one month before the Olympic Games.

Seven years after taking a beginner's cycling class in New York City, she has won gold at the Olympics — the first American to win gold in the women's road race in 40 years.

Imane Khelif - Team Algeria, Boxing

Despite being bullied and unfairly accused of being male, SHE is in the gold medal boxing match!
