Sometimes its not easy being a Stefan fan/stan while shipping Steroline. Mainly because the other part of the ship is the lovable cupcake Caroline Forbes who everyone wants to be happy and treated like a queen. And rightly so. I love her and she deserves the world.
But heres the kicker. I like Stefan too. And these days, it’s so difficult to be a Stefan fan, a Caroline Stan and a Steroline shipper all at the same time. In fact, I feel the ship has taken a back seat and its more about Caroline Stans vs Stefan Stans at the moment. And I'm torn because I like both of them. . . which is why I love Steroline so damn much - i love both the characters individually.
But right now, it feels like you can either be a stefan stan or a caroline stan. Pick a side. . .
In all honesty, I wish the writers would cut Stefan Salvatore some slack. By that I mean, take pity on the Stefan Fans/Stans who have been continually defending the character’s choices.
In Season 6 he got hate because he was all over the place and then when he did kiss her, he hesitated after. And that set off a whole chain of events ! *sigh*
Right now, he hasn't really done anything but fans are already calling for his head on a platter.
When he does freak out when he hears about Caroline’s pregnancy I shudder to think what the fans will do . . .

I liked Caroline with Klaus because Caroline was his first choice. How can you not love that there is someone who wants the best for your baby? Anyway, Caroline loves Stefan. She is lost in this love so much that she cant see that unfortunately she will never be stefan's first choice. And this makes me so angry because I just want her to be happy. If she wants to be stefan's first choice, I want her to be stefan's first choice. But after this episode I think stefan will mess up because it's clear he is still attached to Valerie. I mean, he went sitting on that bench...he should be honest with caroline about what he thinks, it's not true that he doesnt care anymore. Caroline should open her eyes and undestands that there are people better than stefan, but i mean i feel her. It's not that simple to let go someone we care about. [Therefore, it's no surprise Caroline is not with Stefan in the future.]
OMG yes that is the video I'm talking about lol As far as Stefan going through a lot of shit, I agree he has. I do like Stefan, but I don't feel things for him as deeply as I do with Caroline. I emotionally connect with her. We are a lot alike :) Not a fan of S/E or D/E, or any pairing that TVD has done. I adored the SC friendship though, was hoping the romance would be handled differently than it has been but alas.. oh well c'est la vie lol Anyway, that's me. thought id share lol

I used to be a big SE fan until it stopped making sense to ship them anymore (sometime in season 5). Besides, I like Steroline far more than I like SE, which is saying a lot because SE was one of my favorite OTPs.
It’s unfortunate that the SE romance didn’t turn out how you had hoped. Personally, I think that the angst from the first half of the season 6 dragged on too long, but I think a lot of TVD stories just drag on too long these days (remember how fast paced this show was in the first three seasons? I miss that.).

I've never seen you talk about Carenzo. Thoughts? I think I'd be more open to ship then than steroline since Enzo is a lot more similar to Klaus than Stefan is-- I mean he killed Stefan's gf cause he made Care cry
I have not watched this season but I'm not opposed to Carenzo though not as endgame. I love that he is a Caroline stan, appreciating her for who she is, isn't stuck up Elena's ass, and that he embraces his vampirism, actually acting like one which I like. I understand the young vampires, Caroline and Elena, still acting so human but the older ones never seem to which doesn't make sense to me.
But yeah, I love any character that worships our queen like she should be. Speaking of which, I'm still hoping to write a Klaroenzo smut piece at some point.
tbh tho I've been waiting for Caroline to call Elena out on her bullshit for years and I'm so glad it happened I just hope there is more bullshit-outing in future episodes
