carpathyah replied to your post: Yeah. FUCKING NAILED IT.
Moses?
I mean, yeah, that's who I meant. Bless google and all that. But I had to get there first, yanno?

Probably finding content for it will be soo much easierrr because it’s so large. College AU Pharmercy? I got 20. Coffee Shop R76? Here’s the masterlist.
Well, that's true.
The only think I kind of wish was that there was a unified writing tag. Which will not happen this late in the game.

I would honestly try to make one, but god, FYRTFF was a pretty small community and we needed on average, 7 people constantly working on it? Yeesh
yikes. It's really just-- with as big as overwatch is, it'd be easier to find all the AO3 Feed blogs and let that do the work for ya, you know?

Maybe we should start an Overwatch-like fanfiction blog :b
Man, like I’d never be able to run a blog like that because I’m a lazy potato, but I wouldn’t mind like a fuckyeahOverwrite kind of thing.

I've been using Lubiderm or Aveeno. I have really dry skin to begin with and the longtivity of these moisturizers helped with the itch. My feet were probably the itchiest tattooes ever and having to wear socks for work just killed me.

Oh thank goodness for not happening to me. I had no idea that could happen and that sounds horrible
it’s not terrible, just itchy and it can lead to needing more touch ups since it disrupts the ink (and most tattoos need touch ups anyway because it’s never perfect the first go ‘round)
i was advised against Lubriderm because it has alcohol in it to help it evaporate, i’ve never heard anything for or against Aveeno stuff. the two things i’ve been rec’d were Eucerin Calming Cream and Aquaphor (also by Eucerin) and i’ll never go back to anything else, I mean aside from some flaky dry skin (which is why i’m so itchy, i have terribly dry skin as it is) my diamond is very nearly healed and it’s only a week old tomorrow! even my giant leg piece was healed a lot faster than my other tattoos.
also: you can use aquaphor for EVERYTHING. chapped lips? aquaphor. curling iron burn? aquaphor. paper cut? aquaphor. diaper rash? aquaphor.
@carpathyah replied to your post “@lanelacy replied to your post “oh my GOD why are tattoos so ITCHY...”
Don't over lotion though! I did that mistake when I got my first tattoo and I was stuck with like blood bubbles, almost like pimples! And it kinda ruined my tattoo and I had to get it touched up :/
that is a common thing that can happen with tattoos, it has a technical name and i can’t remember it right now and it’s happened with all of mine except the last 2, it’s from the pores getting clogged from the ointment/lotion you’re using
since i switched to aquaphor instead of straight vaseline/a&d/triple antibiotic (which is what i’d been using before) it hasn’t happened!
i’m always super careful about what i use and how much i use it anyway because i have super sensitive skin as it is, i’m a damn fragile baby, but thank you for looking out for me <3
@lanelacy replied to your post “oh my GOD why are tattoos so ITCHY WHEN THEY HEAL”
Put on some lotion
@carpathyah replied to your post “oh my GOD why are tattoos so ITCHY WHEN THEY HEAL”
Put ice on it to help soothe the itchy. When it was really bad, I would take a damp washcloth and freeze it and then put it on the area.
i’ve been lotioning constantly and IT’S NOT HELPING ANYMOREEEE but i’ve never heard of the ice thing, if it’s still itchy tomorrow i’ll try it out <3
