HAYWOOD CITY’S HAUNTED CARPENTER CEMETERY - The haunted Carpenter Cemetery off of Highway 61 just north of Sikeston, Missouri (and just south of nearby Haywood City). This spooky rural cemetery is reached via a long gravel road (lined with some strange, twisted trees) where "spooklights" have been purported to be seen. The cemetery itself is an open field spotted with tombstones that date as far back as the pre-Civil War Era. Ghost mists and "glowing tombstones" have been reported here. I encountered the strange phenomena of "instantaneous battery drain" of my fully-charged camera upon beginning to photograph this creepy locale. Remnants of a child’s doll was tied onto one of the gated graves.
