Knitpicks yarn infestation disaster.

Last week someone mentioned on a popular craft subreddit that they had received yarn from Knitpicks infested with carpet beetles. Shortly thereafter several other people confirmed their yarn was infested as well.

All the infested yarn came from a warehouse in Columbus, Ohio.

Others came forward, with proof, that they had contacted Knitpicks about this same issue, from the same warehouse, over eight months ago. Knitpicks, at the time, said they would look into the issue.

Knitpicks, at the same time, officially stated it was the first time they had heard of the issue and they would investigate.

This Monday Knitpicks claims, officially, that they shut down the warehouse on Sunday, inspected it, and found no signs of infestation. Knitpicks also released a coupon at the same time.

So, given the proof that Knitpicks has already lied about this infestation once this year and not informed customers, and continues to not warn customers, it is a safe bet that no inspection was done and the warehouse remains infested.

Did I mention that Knitpicks is now owned by a private equity firm? They're currently owned by a private equity firm, the same firm that just acquired Jimmy Beans. So they stand to profit by not doing anything and continuing to milk Knitpicks until there is nothing left, and shut it down.

So, unfortunately, the warning about Knitpicks yarn but only remains in effect, but it's permanent given the lies posted by the official Knitpicks account on Reddit.

Anthrenus oceanicus is a beetle ive only seen once. pretty colouration and scales but i wasnt satisfied with the photo quality so i never uploaded these. i still find it to be a really pretty beetle. and the only skin beetle ive seen

I found him in my bathroom and, instead of trying to find somewhere suitable to put him outside in the middle of Winter, I made an enclosure for him and have been taking care of him. It's been 10 days, and he's still doing very well. Hi Daredevil I love you Daredevil. This fella is a varied carpet beetle - adults eat pollen and nectar, and don't live particularly long, usually no more than 6 weeks but as little as 2 depending on sex. He may be interested in eating some honey or sugar water? Or possibly liquid hummingbird food.
