Carrie/Enzo is so bad in City of Romance, it honestly feels like a parody

So, they go on a date that goes horribly in Case 8. Enzo makes a lot of cringey, objectifying/sexist comments, and Carrie is less than thrilled, and leaves the date. Good for her! This case reveals that Enzo has a crush on Carrie and she admits that she had a little crush on him, too. That came out of nowhere, but whatever, sure. But even though they make up, it was clearly not the right foot to start on.

you know what’s funny? I read the summaries on the wiki for each case between those two, and none of them mentioned the two of them becoming official. I am sure it happened, it’s probably just buried in some transcript I’m not bothering to read, but it’s very funny that no one cares enough to add it in the summary.

And just this dialogue exchange when they get engaged is hilarious.

That’s hilarious. “My brother and his fiancé just broke up…eh, he just said to use his venue!” And the fact that Cody barely seems to care in the next case that Eleanora was always loyal to her mobster father and was planning on killing him. This feels like satire or something….like I get COR was cut short, but you didn’t have to end with anyone getting married! But they did, and we have writing that feels like it’s trolling you

Before anything, I have nothing against French ppl or France (cuz why would I?), I just did it for the memes, just wanted to make that clear.

But all jokes aside, what's the deal with S8? I don't think I've ever seen anything discussed about this season other than Jones' new gf or something, so what's it all about?

Also, am I the only one who thinks the ending is a bit odd? Like, I haven't played the game yet, so I thought the screenshots I saw a while ago were just edits. You can only imagine my jaw dropping when I realized it's canon.

It honestly feels like a fever dream the MC randomly had. I mean, why is almost everyone pulling up to France all of a sudden???

I'm so confused, like... What was going on?????

I'm asking cuz I wanna know what I'll get myself into lolol

🎹 Do they have any special talents or skills?

Carrie is really good with animals, and she never lost that touch with them after becoming a vampire either. She just has an easy time befriending them and they trust her implicitely. She also picked up a couple of “unsavory” skills while she was living on the street, like pickpocketing and lockpicking ... 

🌃 Where are they from and where do they live now? 

Carrie is originally from Seattle, but now lives in Minneapolis. Sometimes you gotta move if you stop looking your age, and the real world isn’t Hollywood where you can pretend a 28 year old is 18 ... 

👯‍♀️ Do they have any notable allies/friends?

She is the childe of the old Archbishop of Minneapolis, but he since has left to fight in the Gehenna war in the Middle East, so she can’t really count on him anymore. And now she’s infiltrating the Anarchs where she’ll have to hide her allegiance so friends aren’t really easy to come by these days for her. 

⌛ When and how were they turned?

Carrie was turned in 2008 in Seattle after she run away from home (her home life was a disaster and she hated it there). She spent almost a year surviving on the street, getting by with pickpocketing and living from one day to the other. Gangrel are drawn to survivors so her sire jumped at her and embraced her and then pissed off for a while to see what would happen and if she could survive without him. She did survive, despite being clueless as to what she was at first. 

🤝 What is their relationship with their sire like?

You’d think she would hate her sire for how he embraced her and then left before she even came back to consciousness, but she doesn’t. She was angry at first, yes, but she is also weirdly grateful that she was subjected to the usual Gangrel embrace. She thinks it made her stronger and more prepared. She earned his respect by fending for herself and he trusted her enough to not intervene, and in the end she is proud that she survived on her own and learned to rely on herself and her skills before she was even taught all the rest or even got to really know her sire. She’s very loyal to him and not just because they have a high vinculum with each other. He always treated her like she was her own person worthy of respect, instead of as a pawn. And she knows that many other neonates aren’t treated like that by their sires, even after they have officially left the nest. 

In short, it’s a pretty good sire-childe relationship.
