I know, we’ve already gone and written about how fantastically surreal Super Mario RPG enemies get, but this is definitely up there! It’s a carrot. With a pumpkin-carved face. And a long nose. And it is named Carroboscis. I don’t know if that name rolls off the tongue at all, but I love it precisely for the reason that it doesn’t!
To add to that, Carroboscis is able to hover in mid-air, and wants us to know he always eats his vegetables!
What vegetables Carroboscis. What vegetables are you eating.
Did you eat Radish? Is this why Radish is not in the final game?!
*ahem*
Yeah, I think this goes without saying that this is a pretty dang weird Mario enemy.
When I was playing through the Mario RPG remake I kept thinking about how the weirder enemies looked in the original and how a kid in the 90’s would react to them
Like come on this definitely caused some kids to shit their pants (I say picking probably the tamest one)
