multiple people at work recommended the tv show Reacher to me. one guy even said it was a fun show where you got to just watch some fighting without thinking to hard about it. when i saw my dad watching it, i decided to finally see what they were talking about.

in the first season, we see find out the eponymous protagonist was a marine who shot civilians in Iraq (but it was okay because he says they were child abusers) and he mutilates the dead bodies of two Venezuelan men to stuff them in a trunk. the villains were a Venezuelan criminal organization that was murdering whole yankee families to protect their operation smuggling counterfeit currency into the usa, and the only way to stop it was by getting a small group of vigilantes together to execute what must've been fifty people in total. did not and will not watch anymore.

anyway that's why i have a hard time accepting media recommendations from my fellow yanks
