My heart is breaking today

The gift of education should never be denied to someone, especially when that person wishes to receive it.

And to say that the decision is based on their Christian beliefs.

Carson-Newman, your decision is not Christian-based, but rather fear based.

Jesus loved and accepted the Gentiles, the prostitutes, the lepers—all of those people that were different from the norm.

All of the people that you are banning from your university are all loved and accepted by Christ. To you, they may seem imperfect, but to Jesus (along with myself and I’m sure thousands out there) there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. The people you are trying to ban are exactly like you and me: children of God who deserve to be treated as such.

Please don’t blame Christianity for the cause of your decision.

Blame your own fearful heart and bigoted mind.
