Today’s cart-shark thoughts:
Cryptid, mob hybrid, and mythical/magical being hermits!
Grian: watcher, yes, but not born a watcher. I’m thinking either avian or elytrian for his original species!
Mumbo: human-turned-shapeshifter via a curse, perhaps?
Bdubs: Fae. Not sure if he’s Seelie or Unseelie.
Cleo: well she’s a zombie, obviously. there are multiple kinds of undead creatures in folklore though, so I may go digging for a more specific kind of undead being.
Ren: werewolf!
Pearl: I like the AUs where she’s Grian’s sister, so I’d say elytrian or avian as well. Alternatively, ender dragon hybrid because Ender Pearl lol
Impulse: he was canonically brought to Hermitcraft via a summoning circle- demon/imp!
X: I like the voidwalker idea, it’s fitting, especially with the concept of voidwalkers being shapeshifters, hence X being a different mob each update.
Tango: fire elemental/blaze hybrid!
Zed: either a satyr or an eldritch horror. Maybe even both!
False: A Valkyrie like the ones from the aether mod would be fitting. Alternatively, [not yet determined]
Gem: While I like the concept of her being a sorcereress like in Empires, she’d also work well as a dryad or some other kind of nature spirit.
Joe: he is either an eldritch horror or just a normal guy. nobody is sure which.
Cub: Vex hybrid-ish. Because Convex. That is all.
Scar: he’s a wizard! and also Vex-ish.
Etho: Kitsune! Trickster fox!
Jevin: he’s a slime. a literal slime.
Beef: while I don’t know much about him, he’s an alien atm, yes?
Doc is already a creeper so we skip him for the same reason we skip Jevin
Hypno, Keralis, Xb, Wels, TFC, anyone I forgot: not familiar enough to determine, feel free to suggest!
