Ramona (Ray), an amatuer paranormal investigator, and the secretary-treasurer of the PI club on campus at Asphalt Pond college (yes, that's really the name). She is trying to win this year's Ghost Hunters with Undeniable and Legitimate Sightings (GHOULS) Award. The monetary prize counts as a scholarship recognized by the National Collegiate Council of Funding as "a fun and alternative motivator for the pursuit of knowledge". Ray not only needs the two grand to help her fill her tuition balance for the academic year, but she wants to be the one that finds said undeniable and legitimate proof of spirits. She wants to connect the living with the dead in a way she once thought was impossible. She wants to do this because it could bring so much needed closure to so many people. Plus, she wants to prove that she's a better hunter than Erika, their snobby club president. It all sounds great to Ray. Marcel is a student at the Asphalt Pond College (yes, that's really the name). Though the college name isn't as luxurious as say, Princeton, but it has some decent programs. Marcel chose Asphalt Pond because of their General Science B.A. It felt like a safe bet to secure him a steady job and didn't seem too specific - because Marcel didn't really know what he wanted. Now coming up on his senior year and ready to graduate, Marcel did know one thing: nothing pissed him off more than people ignoring science and claiming ludicrous things like ghosts are real. He takes it upon himself to infiltrate the paranormal investigators club on campus to prove null any of their findings. He even could win some money from it if he gathers data qualitative data from the people in the club to report to his lazy psych major roommate for a final thesis. It all sounds great to Marcel.
