Twenty-one years ago in 2003, the OG Teen Titans kicked their way into Cartoon Network today!
I remember coming home from school every Friday to watch this show. I would make sure my parents weren't around as they thought it was a violent show. I really love the characters and story. Two of my favorites were Raven and Beast Boy. It wasn't your typical Western anime. It does take a lot of inspiration from Japanese anime but still has its serious moments, too.
The girl band duo Puffy AmiYumi sang the iconic opening theme. Here's a fun fact: The Japanese version indicates it's gonna be a comedic episode while the English version means it's gonna be a serious one.
It ended in a cliffhanger though and I wish they continued the series. The Teen Titans Go! series was a total insult to the OG fans. I swear they ruined the characters by turning them into these annoying, unpleasant brats who do disgusting things. You guys are better off watching the original.
