okay so over the garden wall.

ten episodes. looks like a cozy autumn cartoon. two brothers lost in a forest. cute bird. folk music. storybook vibes.

and then it quietly does something to your brain that you were not prepared for.

i have had anxiety since i was a kid and there is a character in this show that made me go "oh. oh no. that's me." which was not what i was expecting from a cartoon network miniseries but here we are.

One thing about the Billy and Mandy cancelled musical that gets me is the implications of the text we got

So like. For those unaware the backstory of the musical would be that Billy and grim moved away after a huge fight so Mandy (whose now an adult) has neither of them in her life anymore

BUT

she’s friends with Irwin and Mindy now as a chill 20something that still lives at home

Obviously the rest of the plot sounded more actiony but I wanna know. Like.

What would have happened that not only broke off Billy and Mandy’s friendship for good, but also apparently made Irwin be more her friend while grim (presumably) hangs out with Billy more now??
