Can you imagine Dragon Age 2, but Carver’s crush on Merrill and Bethany’s crush on Sebastian get swapped?
Carver just absolutely PINING and SWOONING over the pretty boy who talks with an amazing accent, is so nice, doesn’t tease him, and sometimes calls him ‘Lord Hawke’, like he’s his own person and not just ‘the champion’s younger brother.’ But every time Sebastian talks to him, Carver somehow manages to stick his big old foot in his mouth and say something mildly rude, but Sebastian is used to people being rude to him so he’s just like “ok :)” and Carver dies because he’s so cute and how is Carver supposed to communicate with someone so cute?!? Also Sebastian is like mildly oblivious because he’s stupid and everybody else knows that Carver is being super obvious, but Sebastian doesn’t meet Carver until later so he just thinks Carver has a hard time trusting him or something because he’s Hawke’s friend and Sebastian gets that it can weird to be friends with someone who was your sibling’s friend first.
Bethany being just all blushy around Merrill who is super oblivious because she thinks Bethany just wants to be gal pals. Bethany thinks Merrill is super cute and cool and brave because she’s a apostate AND a blood mage, but she’s also so in control and smart and stuff. Then Merrill just starts talking and talking and she’s like “oh dear, I’m rambling aren’t I?” And Bethany is like “no, no, I want to hear more, you can keep going.” Then everybody else groans because now they have to listen to Merrill obliviously while Bethany just stares dreamily at her. And the whole party is like “Bethany, we know you like Merrill, but pls don’t do blood magic.”
