Year and a Day is a fic I'm writing set during that 1 year period where Hawke and their sibling are serving out their indentured servitude. It is, ultimately, a story about being poor.

Really isn't the most fun or exciting topic, but I think im finding it a little cathartic to write. I'm really not writing it to be interesting because I threw in so many side characters, so many threads that kind of go nowhere, because it's just realistic to life. There's not really a plot. It would count as slice of life, if life was just really hard. Things happen and then more things happen and they don't necessarily correlate or get better or worse.

Im pretty proud to have already written up to month 3! And in that time, the protagonist has been fired twice lol but hopefully this next job sticks.

I really like exploring thedas from the non-combatents POV. Idk I'm just super drawn to people who don't fight in a world where every protagonist must.

I really need to change the tags tho because this slow burn is like. The spark hasn't even been set yet. They've had like one conversation in two months lmao.
