I've seen a few interpretations of the ring toss, but haven't read anyone yet that reads it as a token of her love for Lenore. So.

Annabel Lee is quick to find solutions, and she knew the Stag was interested in the ring, that much is clear enough. So, the only way out was obvious (it was still a gamble, though). And I don't see why tossing it away has to mean her love for Lenore has diminished, or that she has other priorities...

If she had kept it, they were all going to die.

And I doubt Annabel would want to leave Lenore behind like that, dying far away from her without knowing for sure if Lenore made it (another thought, but I'm starting to think Lenore died first, and Annabel second, which is why she's so hell bent on protecting Lenore - but that's for another post).

Do I think she cares about Ada and Prospero? Sure. She could have left Ada behind, for example, and yet she chose to stay and try to get her out of there. But tossing the ring away doesn't mean she suddenly prioritizes them over Lenore or her love for her. She tossed it away because she loves Lenore.

i got obsessed with flowery lately-

no shade to anyone who does, but i think it’s kinda sad that like half the fandom hates him (least from what I’ve seen)

i just think he’s… really pure in his ideals and- his story (and the other flowers, but him since he. may be dead.) is kind of a tragedy- kind of

he acts really like… a rage baiter is the only way i can think to describe him.

but he’s a ragebaiter with good purpose, you know? i could’ve sworn i saw his complexity from the beginning. i like characters like that. because really, even at the boss fight, you aren’t enemies. you’re just in each other’s way.

he wants nothing more than to be able to be capable and help asgore- really, he just wants to repay someone who’s taken care of him. he’s been unable to help for… who knows how many years. now he feels like he can, and he really, really wishes to do so.

idk. thats my thoughts on why he’s such… a character. a well written one.

honestly, I don't know. Sometimes I just tell myself "Maybe cus he tells shitty jokes that makes me laugh unconditionally" or "Maybe he's just my type lol"

I started playing Undertale a year after it was released, and immediately got to work on finishing it lmao. That was when I stumbled upon Sans, who, for some reason, stood out of the crowd to me. (also the Great Papyrus ofc). His jokes just made me cringe in such good ways that my friends would even ask me why I'm cackling so much over a game those days.

Then it got to the point where I began drawing him and my reason was "He's easy to draw", and my notebooks would be filled with doodles of him haha. When fics/one shots about him (or stories that involved the game) started surfacing, I also began little stories and one shots about him.

He became one of my coping mechanism plus comfort character whenever I got stressed or simply when I'm at a rocky part of my life. I'd read fics or stories about him over and over again to cope with everything, and that was when the little artist, me, was born!

Although I don't write as much anymore, I can still vividly remember reading my stories again and again when I feel down. He played a big part in my life even if he's just a 2D character in a game who has little-to-no personality LMAO

(there were some points that my mentality wasn't the most stable, and having a fictional character as my coping mechanism and a whole lot of trauma still on my back that time didn't exactly help. I'd cry myself to sleep wishing he was real and that he could hold me so tight that I can't breath lmao. I wasn't really the most stable teen to say the least.)

So, in short, he was one of my coping mechanism/+my comfort character back when I was just a little ol' teen who knew nothing about the world. As a way to honor him, I started this blog to show the world how much this video game character really means to me teehee ✨✨
