FULL AND PARTIAL SETS AT SFS

Time for a happy dance - it's finally over lovelies!!!

I apologise for taking so long to upload Helen's files, but I wanted to explore every avenue and be as thorough as possible. I'm a little disappointed I couldn't find the rest of the missing files to complete a full set, and there's still a chance that someone has the original files tucked away. But to be honest, I am knackered and I can't look anymore!!! If the files turn up, that's great. If not, that's okay too. There should be enough here to please the fussiest simmer and I don't want to hoard these goodies any longer.

I included a sub folder named 'SIMS 2 Casaslindas *PARTIAL* Sets. This is where all the incomplete sets can be found. Inside each zip file is a text document with information about the missing file names (if known) and Helen's original zip file name, in case someone stumbles upon it at a later date. I will add a sub folder of Missing Files at some point with similar information and I'll zip up the images and screenshots of the original post of each set to keep track of what is still to be found.

One little thing: there is a Residential Lot '4698 Oaklane Road' which was too large (322mb compressed) to upload to SFS. So I had to upload it to Mediafire instead.

A long time ago, someone was looking for snarky shark coventry sofa recolors by Casaslindas, as the folders saved by Simmylicious didn't have all of the them. I found a bunch I had and put them up on SFS. Files just have numbers, pics I had included. It's been along time, but here they are: simfileshare*net/download/3068863/

'Cute Ecclectic House'

Hello lovelies!!!

@simsinrainbows kindly replied to one of my earlier Casaslindas posts saying she had a Casaslindas/Helen Torres/Twinkie Residential Lot from 2014 in her stash of goodies. I could find no record of this house during my file hunting expedition, so my best guess is this was posted at Helen's tumblr and the page was never saved via Wayback Machine. This lot could be one of many files/sets that have disappeared into the abyss so if you think you may have others, please share the link with me and I'll add it to the archive.

CASASLINDAS UPDATE - ONE PARTIAL SET & ONE MISSING SET FOUND - YAY!!

I always knew it to be true, but if I haven't said it before: the Sims 2 Community is Freaking Amazing!!!

@timeparadoxsims messaged me last night to say while she was searching through her old CC Backups, she found two of Helen's original zip files and shared the links with me - 'Happy Thanksgiving' and 'Christmas Goodies II'.

I know one simmer in particular who will be doing a happy dance and a few cartwheels over Yuxi's chairs (not mentioning any names @simsinrainbows haha)

Thank you again so much for your generosity and wonderful contribution to Helen's Archive @timeparadoxsims :D

I have removed both sets from the Flickr Albums and since I had made individual posts 2 days ago with multiple images, I have included a quickie compilation image of each set.

My first post on Tumblr - YAY!!!

I have been archiving Casaslindas Sims 2 recolour files from her Wordpress and Tumblr accounts since February. Why so long, you may ask?? Well I've had to take several (and regular) breaks as the whole process was doing my head in. I've just about lost what's left of my sanity!!!

Why did I do this??? Well, I love Helen's recolours and as usual, I was late to the party when I discovered her site around 2018, She hadn't posted anything new for a while, but I downloaded what I could as there were lots of dead links. Then, I noticed many WCIF requests on @Sims2Packrat, most of which were sets with the deceased Dropbox links. I didn't have these files but I wanted them desperately.

However, at the beginning of this year, I had a scary vibe that one day, her Wordpress site would vanish. So I started the archiving mission/nightmare. It's so weird but in July, Helen deleted every post related to Sims 2 and only concentrates on Sims 4 now. I was devastated but relieved that I had saved what I could months earlier.

I am about 85% finished but there are still many files I cannot find: specifically Dropbox files from 2014-2015 and a few other randoms (Send Space, Copy, Uploading and those posted at Paeginsims.com). Unfortunately, Helen Torres changed up her file hosting sites quite often so it's been a lottery to find stuff.

It's been a busy month, but I have finally compiled an archive of the missing Casaslindas files.

I created a Flickr Collection (MISSING SIMS 2 CASASLINDAS FILES) consisting of 39 albums; one for each missing download I could find. There could possibly be more, but unfortunately if the Wordpress or Tumblr pages haven't been archived, I can only assume they don't exist. Believe me, I checked...ALOT!!! Each album is complete with hi-res images, screenshots of the original post, release date, file host name and the file name (if known). Each album appears in chronological order, from the newest to the oldest files/sets and they are a combination of files posted at Wordpress or Tumblr.

Hopefully. someone will have the original RAR files stashed away, or at least recognise some of the recolours if they have them in their game.

If you do have any of the missing files featured in the album that you would like to contribute to the archive, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

Please share the link with me and I'll add the required meshes, images and add it to the saved archive.

For any complete sets/files that are FOUND and posted, I will remove the corresponding album from the Collection so it will always remain updated and will contain the missing files only. I really want to finalise this project before the end of the year, so we'll see how we go with finding the missing files. Maybe give it a couple of weeks, and then I'll post a SFS link to all of the completed sets I have (which I am still fiddling with ie. adding meshes, renaming or resizing images and compressing and zipping) which is just over 200 sets I think. Then, if any missing files are found in the coming months, I'll add them to the SFS Folder.

In my experience, The Sims 2 community is the BEST and so wonderfully generous with sharing or finding missing content. I have accomplished all I can on my own, so now I need the assistance of fellow Sims 2 lovers.
