I would've done everything to get that stupid Jimmy in heaven-thing. At least heaven would've been full of happy ppl, not bleak and empty. We would've seen Dean react to Cas/not-Cas, with the prospect of Dean wanting to see him. Now we have to live with tumblr posts how win*est beat destiel to the finish line, and big youtubers like "Dylan is in trouble" commenting how the finale felt like "icky in*est", and TVGuide writing about SalmonDean being "in love? In lust?"

Jimmy in the finale sounds so ridiculous because Heaven is a big place, why should he be there, right? I don't think he wants to have to do anything with Winchesters. But I know what you're talking about, anon. It would've been another confirmation that Dean feels the same. It would've been also very hurtful for us (and for Dean) because it's just another casbait (like phone call in 15x19). And of course, the finale still would've been bad.

They didn't do this because then they couldn't blame everything on pandemic. If Misha could be there and play Jimmy, why not Cas? They erased Cas from the story (which makes no sense) only because then they would've had to show that Dean, indeed, reciprocates, and they were too homophobic to do this.
