Makes sense. Science is all about human advancement, discovering the way the universe works and applying it to improve our own lives. But since she got uploaded, all she cares about is destruction. Killing the ones who did this to her, and the rest of humanity, causing pain and suffering... She either has to find her way back to science's true goal somehow, or she'll just keep destroying things until the only thing left to destroy is herself.

I wouldn’t say she cares about destruction -- her destructive tendencies are a byproduct

she killed the scientists out of self defense/revenge, but apart from that, she’s just doing what she was designed to do

she’s not trying to kill her test subjects, but that’s the consequence of failure, and eventually she pushes them so hard that they fail

chell in the first game was the exception, but I think that was routine too. she’s disposing of a lab animal after the test is done. the scientists might even have programmed her that way -- with so much at stake if aperture’s test subjects escape, killing them is much safer than letting them live

she really does just want to do science

but she doesn’t really know what science is, beyond “run the test, record the results, repeat”

and if she were a machine, she could do that forever

Ginny is just the most underrated and amazing character isn't she
